Shelley Krycer is an artist, graphic designer and workshop facilitator at tbC. She holds an honours degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne and recently trained as a Rudolf Steiner teacher.
Shelley's art practice explores the lived experience. Through her work, she develops visual languages to describe phenomenological experiences relating to the human body and its relationship to natural and built environments. Her choice of media varies but mainly includes painting, drawing and installation. Shelley's interest in dialogue, connections and spaces between people has also inspired the development and execution of her creative work. She is currently working on a book with fellow tbC artist and poet Justine Walsh.
In 2010 Shelley won the indoor sculpture prize at Incinerator Art Complex's annual aRtECYCLE exhibition and participated in the artist in residence program at Medium Artspace, Brunswick, in 2008-2009. Shelley was on the committee of Trocadero Art Space, Footscray from 2009-2010. Her works are held in private collections across Australia.
So blessed to be a part of tbC’s inspiring, vibrant, nurturing and creative work. It will live on in many lives, taking form in unexpected ways.
